Dry, pleasant weather settles into the Boston region for the next couple of days before heavy rain arrives in time for Christmas Eve.

Tuesday will see some morning clouds giving way to a mostly sunny afternoon, according to forecasters. Winds will be gusty at times and highs will be in the 30s to low 40s.

Wednesday also looks dry and pleasant ahead of a Christmas Eve storm that is expected to bring heavy rains and strong winds.
