Tuesday’s weather will be cool and quiet across the Boston region before a blast of cold air arrives.

Forecasters expect partly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the low to mid 40s. It will be breezy at times, but not as blustery as in recent days.

Temperatures will plummet Tuesday night, and Wednesday’s highs are only expected to reach the 20s and 30s.
