The Boston region is in for a wet and muggy day on Thursday.

Cloudy skies are expected with heavy rainfall and thunderstorms possible throughout the day and into the night.

Highs will be in the upper 70s with high humidity, but relief will come quickly as cool, dry weather rolls in on Friday.
