A storm working its way up the coast toward New England could bring heavy rains to the Boston region on Friday.

Forecasters expect a mostly cloudy day with chances for rain. It will be warm and humid with highs in the 80s.

The approaching storm, which could become tropical or sub-tropical, has the potential to bring thunder, heavy rain, and the risk for flash flooding, mainly Friday night into Saturday.
