This weekend won’t be perfect weather-wise, but there won’t be a lot of rain
If only we could have kept Thursday’s weather for the weekend. As the second half of June gets underway, it appears we are going to be in an active pattern with rounds of showers possible every few days, bouts of humidity, and some warm temperatures. The weekend won’t be perfect weather wise, but it doesn’t look like a lot of rain either.

Friday evening has showers.
A warm front will eventually move by the area overnight Friday and Saturday. This weather system is why we have clouds and showers in the forecast. Friday starts dry, but showers should arrive later in the afternoon and overnight. The good news is I expect these showers to leave by Saturday early to mid-morning. Temperatures Friday will be cool, only in the 60s to around 70.

If you get up early Saturday, there might be a few showers leftover, but the trend will be for drying. I am not expecting a lot of sunshine Saturday. Humidity levels increase and temperatures should reach the low to mid 70s. If you are headed to the Sail Boston events on Saturday, it should remain dry. Bring sunscreen as you can get quite burned through the clouds.

Last Sunday was the first day of the heat wave. This week we won’t be starting a new heat wave, but it will be quite warm. As the sun makes an appearance in the tropical air, temperatures will rise quickly. Highs Sunday will reach the mid 80s; if there is enough sun, a 90 degree reading isn’t out of the question.

The warm and humid pattern will continue Monday and Tuesday before a cold front brings more showers. Humidity may still linger into the first part of next week. The pattern isn’t dry like last June and presently any return to drought isn’t an issue.
