Buffalo Just Got Pounded With Feet of Snow
Boston’s no stranger to snow, and its residents are generally a hardy bunch who handle the snow in stride. We scoff when southern cities — like New York — grind to a halt when a few flakes fly.
But when it comes to snow, Boston’s got nothing on Buffalo. Before you get your “my city is tougher than your city’’ dander up, check out this wall of lake effect snow looming over the city.

“Bah,’’ you say, unwilling to give the snow crown to anyone else. “It’s all just hanging over the lake, what’s the problem?’’ Yeah, that snow eventually moved toward the city and surrounding area.
Take, for example, Niagra University’s Women’s Basketball team. As of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night, they’ve been trapped in a bus for 23 hours. No kidding, Buffalo is the undisputed king of snow towns.
