Brace yourselves for one final scorching hot day, Boston. Temperatures across much of the region will be in the upper 90s again on Wednesday, before a couple days of rain roll in to cool things off.

Scattered showers are expected later in the afternoon and into the evening, but temperatures in the mid to upper 70s are still expected overnight. Forecasters are calling for steady rain the rest of the week, with temperatures tapering off to the mid 60s by Friday.
