Good Sunday morning!

The overnight burst of snow is tapering off thru 8am. The intensity ramps back up with a 2nd burst late morning/midday into the mid afternoon. Temps drop late day as snow tapers. Watch for a FREEZE UP- especially near the coast and SE MA. More on #WCVB pic.twitter.com/rwA93enlvY
TYPE OF SNOW…

Where you do have snow the consistency is much fluffier N&W of I-495 in the colder air (temps in the 20s) Inside of I-495 temps in the 30s are making for a wetter snow that will be harder to clean up. Coastal areas & SE MA get a burst of snow this afternoon #WCVB pic.twitter.com/MKSZrK0gXt
Some snow reports so far. Still looks like the Merrimack Valley area to higher elevations along Route 2 into central MA should be the jackpot for this storm, with some of those towns over a foot. #wbz pic.twitter.com/iAkt9RGY0a

No big changes to expected storm totals. Ranging from a significant snowstorm across the interior to a slushy/rain blech storm in SE Mass/near coast. Though coastal areas get their accumulation chance this afternoon when cold arrives/things fill back in. On the air this AM #wbz pic.twitter.com/EGRbGFPAbP

All about that classic coastal front, as expected. Minor inside of it, hefty snow and much colder outside of it. This will collapse east midday/early afternoon, bringing a quick freeze-up for the areas that are currently on the mild side. #wbz pic.twitter.com/ckXElSF7pm

Power outages scattered about this morning due to the heavy, wet snow #wbz pic.twitter.com/RrGABkKzzN

Just a little correction to the zoomed in map numbers… I do not expect all towns in that pink band to get that high, but I want to make sure you are prepared. @boston25 pic.twitter.com/1NZe6eqrrV

More snow totals so far… lower numbers the closer to the coast. Mainly rain so far immediate coast near Boston, south. pic.twitter.com/FW4S58nySR

Watching the temp drop northwest to southeast this afternoon in the 1-5pm timeframe. Expect slick travel to develop near/inside I-95, toward the coast mid to late afternoon. pic.twitter.com/vKjc18oROO
