Travelers hitting the road for the holidays are looking at some rough weather Saturday.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Boston and most of Massachusetts and said in a tweet Saturday morning that they had received reports of several multi-vehicle accidents due to freezing rain and icy roads.
“Travel at this time is not advised,” the service wrote. “If you have to travel, check road conditions.”

The Christmas day forecast:
According to the service’s seven-day forecast for Boston, Sunday should be partly sunny after the rainy Saturday. That is until the snow starts after midnight into Christmas morning.
