Isolated “strong to severe” thunderstorms could bring heavy rain and hail Tuesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
The service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for much of Massachusetts, as well as northern Rhode Island.
“The main threat with any stronger storms are damaging wind gusts, isolated hail and heavy downpours which may lead to localized flooding,” the service said.
The day is also expected to be humid, with Wednesday being a continuation of Tuesday’s conditions, according to the service.

Good representation of how this afternoon's storms will set up. Not a defined line. These will pop up rather sporadically so we should all be ready after 1pm. If you hear a rumble of thunder, be sure to head indoors. pic.twitter.com/Iy5f6SiHPi
