Massachusetts is in for a wet afternoon on Tuesday, with showers and possible thunderstorms rolling across the state into the early evening. The weather pattern will bring brief downpours, with temperatures dropping quickly as the showers move across the state, according to the National Weather Service.“Some storms may produce gusty winds and small hail,” service meteorologists wrote. “As the cold front moves across the region, gusty west winds will usher in unseasonably cold temperatures late tonight and Wednesday.”

Dry weather will be back in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, according to the service.
