Maps: How much snow is forecast to fall in Massachusetts on Wednesday

“A significant impact may occur during the morning commute.”

Don’t let the balmy temperatures fool you — snow is still in the forecast for Wednesday.The National Weather Service is urging commuters to “please plan ahead” and prepare for snow-covered roads during the morning’s rush hour.“Showers will change to a period of accumulating snow later tonight into Wednesday morning, especially south of the Massachusetts Turnpike where a significant impact may occur during the morning commute,” service forecasters wrote Tuesday. “Snow will end by Wednesday afternoon.”The service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southeastern Massachusetts and the Cape, which is in effect 10 p.m. Tuesday through noon Wednesday. Most of the Bay State, including Boston, could see a couple inches of accumulation, according to the service.Below, five maps from local forecasters predicting how much snow will fall through Wednesday afternoon.
