Map: Here’s how cold it will feel in Massachusetts starting Thursday night
Below normal temperatures are in the forecast and parts of the state could see a "brief period of snow."
Time to officially break out your winter wardrobe.Forecasters are predicting Massachusetts will see “unseasonably cold temperatures” on Friday, with the weather turning chilly starting Thursday evening.The plunge in the temperature will follow rain moving into the region Thursday afternoon and evening.“The rain will end as a brief period of snow tonight across parts of the interior,” the service said. “A coating to 1 [inch] of snow is possible in the high terrain.”

After the precipitation, temperatures are forecast to fall Thursday night to around 31 degrees in Boston and around 23 degrees in Western Massachusetts.
On Friday, high temperatures are forecast to be in the 30s, with windy conditions resulting in wind chills in the 20s.
“Well below normal temperatures will persist into Saturday, but with much less wind,” forecasters wrote.
