The storm that swept across Massachusetts on Halloween with high winds knocked out power to thousands. More than 29,000 customers were without power as of 8 a.m. Friday, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency.The National Weather Service said a Wind Advisory remains in effect through 4 p.m., warning that continued winds of 40 to 50 mph could “lead to scattered tree and powerline damage.” The strongest gusts are forecast mid-morning through mid-afternoon.
