‘A few storms may become severe’: Here’s Boston’s weather forecast for the week
"Some storms [Wednesday] and [Thursday] may be accompanied by torrential downpours.”
While Monday started off with lower dewpoints and “comfortable” humidity, local forecasters warn that the humidity will return in the middle of the week, and, with that, the potential for scattered thunderstorms that could cause flooding and contain “damaging” winds. The National Weather Service predicts that Monday will be the best day of the week; a chance of rain showers is predicted for Tuesday with them becoming more likely for Wednesday afternoon and that night. More rain and thunderstorms are “likely” on Thursday.“[Monday] will be the pick of the week as high pressure builds over the region providing dry, pleasant and seasonably warm weather,” the service said. “Temperatures and humidity will be on the rise Tuesday through Thursday along with the risk for showers and thunderstorms. Some storms [Wednesday] and [Thursday] may be accompanied by torrential downpours.”The service is also warning of “very localized flooding.”“While the entire period will not be a washout, a few storms may become severe and produce localized damaging wind gusts,” the service said.
[Wed & Thu] The humidity returns Wed into Thu along with scattered showers and thunderstorms. While the entire period will not be a washout, a few storms may become severe and produce localized damaging wind gusts. Heavy rain and very localized flooding is also possible.

The storms clear up by Friday, according to the service. The day is predicted to be sunny and around 82 degrees. Saturday and Sunday are also expected to be clear with temperatures forecast to reach the high 70s.
As the weather improves toward the end of the week, dewpoints should decrease and, with that, a decrease in humidity, according to Barry Burbank, a meteorologist with WBZ.
