Maps: What you should know about the snow forecast during Thursday’s morning commute
Forecasters are warning commuters that the precipitation could bring reduced visibility and create slick roads.
Forecasters are warning that light snow could cause potentially hazardous travel conditions for commuters in Massachusetts on Thursday morning. The National Weather Service is predicting the “period of mainly light snow” will arrive in the region late Wednesday evening and continue through Thursday morning. While “minor accumulations” of a coating to 2 inches are forecast, the service is warning that surfaces could become slick and travelers could encounter reduced visibility and hazardous conditions during the morning commute.

In Boston, the snowfall is expected to end around 9 a.m. Thursday and bring less than an inch of accumulation.

Dry and mild weather is forecast to return to Southern New England on Friday, but the service said it is keeping an eye out for more potential snow next week.
