There’s a "slight risk" Fenway could see some rain during Game 1 of the World Series.
Fans heading to see the Red Sox take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the World Series at Fenway Park should be prepared for a chilly — and possibly damp — evening.The National Weather Service says a storm, passing over southern New England on Tuesday, will bring “numerous” showers and even a few rumbles of thunder to the region during the day. In Boston, the bulk of the showers are forecast to develop between 10 a.m. and noon, but NWS meteorologist Kim Buttrick says they will continue “off and on” throughout the rest of the day, exiting east of city after 7 p.m.

But even though most of the rain will have left the region by the time the first pitch is thrown around 8:09 p.m., Buttrick said there is still a “slight risk” for showers in Boston during the evening hours.
According to the meteorologist, the other factor to consider this evening is that after the showers move through, winds are going to pick up in Boston.
“It’s going to make it feel chillier than it would otherwise,” Buttrick said.
Temperatures in Boston around sunset will be in the low 50s, she said, but the winds, which could reach between 10 and 15 mph, will make it feel in the low 40s.
