Map: Here’s how hot it will feel in Massachusetts on Thursday
Forecasters say to expect more heat and humidity.
The excessive heat warning has been lifted in Massachusetts, but forecasters say residents are in for another day of hot and humid weather on Thursday.The National Weather Service said heat advisories remain in effect for southeastern Massachusetts, and across most of the state, it will feel around 90 degrees.
Forecasters said scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly south of the Mass. Pike as a cold front moves through the region. “This will bring a break from the heat, but may allow for a few showers Friday and into this weekend towards the south coast of New England,” the service said. “Heat and humidity return for the following week.”In Boston, showers and thunderstorms could show up between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., according to the service’s seven day forecast for the city. On Wednesday, Boston set a new record for the maximum temperature ever recorded on Aug. 29.
