Here’s the timing of the potential rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday
A heat advisory is still in place for most of Massachusetts.
Hot, humid, and hazy weather is once again on tap for Massachusetts. The National Weather Service said Tuesday some spots in the state will see their fifth day of temperatures around or above 90 degrees.“The combination of heat and humidity will lead to heat indices above 95-100 degrees,” forecasters said.
Service meteorologists said “hit or miss” rain showers and thunderstorms are also expected to sweep across the Bay State on Tuesday. “Heavy rainfall and gusty winds will be the main threat with any strong storm,” the service said.
[Midday Weather Briefing] here is one model radar simulation for today. Most locations remain dry today but some locations will have brief heavy downpours from isolated showers/T-storms, mainly between 4 pm – 8 pm. Then dry for firework shows later this evening 👍 #MA #RI #CT pic.twitter.com/V4fDvZ0wfI
