Is a fourth winter storm in Boston’s future?

After a third nor’easter in less than two weeks brought blizzard conditions and more than a foot of snow to Massachusetts on Tuesday, the National Weather Service said on Twitter Wednesday “there is the ‘potential’ for another storm to impact the region next Tuesday with rain, ice and/or snow.”

“Keep in mind this threat is 6 days out and is far from a certainty along with potential precipitation types,” the service added.

Service forecasters also posted a map showing the “probability of accumulating snow and/or ice,” along with some key points to keep in mind.
