The National Weather Service said Friday is expected to be cooler but “some uncertainty remains as to how cool.”

Celtics fans may be in for another win this week — more seasonable temperatures for the duck boat parade on Friday.

Forecasters are predicting that, while the heat and humidity currently blanketing the region will peak on Thursday, it is expected to cool off on Friday.

The “rolling rally” celebrating the Celtics championship win is set to kickoff Friday morning at 11 a.m. Boston officials have said that the dangerous heat prompted the decision to delay the parade until later in the week.

The National Weather Service said Tuesday that Friday is expected to be cooler but “some uncertainty remains as to how cool.”

“Some locations may briefly touch upper 80s mid morning before dropping into the 70s for the afternoon as cooler NE flow kicks in,” service forecasters wrote. “Either way, not expecting a repeat of the heat on Thursday.”
