Northern Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island could see scattered severe thunderstorms this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.“A few storms may contain damaging winds, large hail & locally heavy rain,” the service said on Twitter.All of Massachusetts is under a “slight” risk of severe storms, according to the service. These could include winds up to 60 miles-per-hour with hail up to 1 inch in size. The risk extends from 2 to 10 p.m., but with a chance of isolated storms prior to that timeframe.
