This is the warmest February day ever recorded in Boston
Boston made history on Friday when the temperature reached 71 degrees just after noon, setting a new all-time record high for the warmest observed temperature in February, according to the National Weather Service.

The city came close to breaking the record Thursday, when temperatures in the city reached 68 degrees. The previous record of 70 degrees was set on Feb. 24, 1985.
Worcester also set an all-time record when it reached 68 degrees around 1:30 p.m.

The weather service said the day is still young and that record-breaking temperatures could still be seen across the region.
