Showers, unseasonably hot temperatures, and possible thunderstorms are all in the forecast for Thursday. A dry morning will see increasing cloudiness and warm temperatures in the upper 70’s and low 80’s — about 10 degrees above average for late September. Showers will start in the afternoon, reaching Western Massachusetts and then Southeast Massachusetts by the evening. The National Weather Service reports “lower confidence” in the chance of embedded thunderstorms during this time, but advises that storms are still possible. The region will see between one-tenth and one-half inch of rain.
