More humid air moves into New England on Thursday, and the region will not  be able to stay dry for long. Temperatures are likely to hit the low- to mid-80s during the day with noticeable humidity, which will continue into the evening as the air cools to the upper 60s and around 70.  According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will approach New England through the Great Lakes region on Thursday, and reach the New York/New England border around Friday morning. This means increasing moisture as Thursday progresses, with showers and scattered thunderstorms in western and central Massachusetts by Thursday late afternoon or evening.
