Moakley Park in South Boston is playing host to a series of free, family-friendly summer festivities this month, beginning Wednesday night.
Dinner, lawn games, art activities and a live performance by Sista Dee of Dis-N-Dat Band are all on the agenda for Wednesday’s event, which will last from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The event series is organized by Boston Harbor Now, a nonprofit that works to “ensure that Boston Harbor, its waterfront and islands are accessible and inclusive,” with support from Boston’s Parks and Recreation Department, the community nonprofit South Boston En Accion, and Volo Sports.
Tickets are free, but attendees are encouraged to register online beforehand so that organizers can make sure they have enough food for everyone.
