Newton-bred actor, writer, and Esurance spokesguy John Krasinski is a dad. He tweeted on Sunday: “Wanted to let the news out directly. Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday!’’ Krasinski’s wife is actress Emily Blunt. . . . Singer Christina Aguilera is engaged to Rhode Islander Matthew Rutler. The two (at right) met while working on the 2010 film “Burlesque.’’ Before meeting Aguilera, Rutler was a production assistant on a bunch of locally-made films including “The Town,’’ “Edge of Darkness,’’ “Surrogates,’’ and “The Proposal.’’ Like Krasinski, Aguilera used social media to make her big announcement. She posted a pic of her engagement ring on Instagram on Friday.
