World Series trophy pays a visit to State House
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick has acknowledged he isn’t the world’s biggest baseball fan. But he smiled broadly and donned a Boston Red Sox cap today as he welcomed the 2013 World Series trophy to the State House.
The arrival of the trophy at Patrick’s office, in the Governor’s Council chamber, brought a gaggle of curious State House aides, who descended upon the gleaming prize to take their own pictures with it under the careful watch of a Red Sox employee.
