Police seek public’s help in identifying suspect in South Boston sex assault
Boston police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who approached a woman from behind and indecently assaulted her in South Boston.
At around 12:45 a.m. Monday, the victim was walking in the area of Athens and Dorchester streets, police said.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a heavy build and a large stomach, wearing a T-shirt. After the incident, he fled in an unknown direction, police said.
The incident is under investigation. Police asked anyone with information to call the sexual assault unit at 617-343-4400.
