The Amazing Acro-Cats in Somerville

The Amazing Acro-Cats meowed their way into Somerville hearts on Wednesday night. The acrobatic cat troupe performed amazing feats of agility, intricacy, and cuteness while the audience giggled at the cats’ quirky personalities.

Buggles “The Nerd’’ wowed the audience with her balancing act.

The Amazing Acro-Cats brought two rescued kittens. They were both available for adoption.

The cats walked on top of rolling balls during the show.

Lucie Vaughan (left), 9, and her brother Colin, 7, showed off their cat ears before the show. Colin said he loves everything about cats. “A lot of them are soft and friendly, and they’re just adorable,’’ he said.

Many audience members wore cat ears in support of their furry friends.

Before the cats came on stage, a pre-show involving acrobatic rats took place.

Samantha Martin, the head trainer, gave a training demonstration before the Amazing Acro-Cats took the stage.

Nue “The Flirt’’ raised her paw when asked the question, “Who is number one?’’

Many cats took their time while deciding if and when they would perform their tricks.

Pudge “The Sweetheart’’ jumped through hoops to win the audience’s affection.

Cats showed off their courage by quickly climbing up boards and poles.

This cat rolled back and forth on a rolling tube.

Many cats ran around the obstacle course while Samantha Martin introduced them to the audience.

This chicken bowled against one of the cats in a feather vs. fur showdown.

As part of the Rock Cats, Tuna (left) played the cowbell while Sookie played the chimes.

The cats rocked out in a full band at the end of the show.
