Police seek help in solving Somerville bank robbery
Somerville police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a bank robbery on Highland Avenue on Monday.
The suspect passed a note to the teller, making threats while demanding cash at the Sovereign Bank at 403 Highland Avenue just after 1 p.m., Somerville police said in a statement.
The suspect, described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old and roughly 6 feet tall, did not show a weapon and fled on foot east on Highland Avenue. He had a medium build and was wearing a black shirt and black baseball hat with white lettering reading “SOX.’’
