The Great Burlesque Exposition in Cambridge

The 7th annual Great Burlesque Exposition at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge kicked off 2013 with their show on March 29, The Rhinestone Revue. The show featured past burlesque winners and invited guests, flaunting and teasing their way across the stage and into the audience members’ hearts.
Shanghai Pearl performed her Bird of Paradise routine.

Will Barrett, with the assistance of Betty Blaze and Delilah Spring, seductively strip-teased a bar of chocolate.

Lucy Buttons, the queen of rock and roll, performed a routine filled with class, champagne,and plenty of glitter.

Scarlett Letter, winner of the most classic title in 2007 and best solo performer title in 2010, let her hair down as she teased the audience.

Bettysioux Tailor set a seductive tone for the audience during her performance.

Cherokee Rose was voted most classic in 2012. She flirted with the audience while strutting around the stage.

The Boston Babydolls, voted best of Boston seven times by four publications, performed a stellar routine using flashlights.

Shanghai Pearl smiled and batted her eyelashes at the audience.

Dot Mitzvah, best hybrid performer 2012, sang while she removed the layers of her costume.

Jo Weldon, writer of “The Burlesque Handbook,’’ performed an all-new routine. She is also the founder of Pink Light Burlesque, a free program that teaches burlesque to breast cancer survivors.

Burgundy Brixx, best solo performer 2012, slowly removed her gloves for the audience.

The Honorable Judge Paco Fish was voted most humorous performer in 2012. He reminded the audience of the seriousness of the law.

Scandal from Bohemia performed a routine that involved making a sandwich. She eventually revealed the meat was part of her costume.

St. Stella and James and The Giant Pastie were voted most beautiful in 2012. In the performance, the statue James came to life and tried to win St. Stella’s heart.
