Shake Shack celebrates opening
Governor Deval Patrick stopped by the Revere Hotel’s Emerald Lounge this week where
Colette Phillips’s networking group, Get Konnected!, was celebrating its fifth anniversary. . . . Shake Shack opened this week in Chestnut Hill — its first franchise in the Boston area — and hosted a party to celebrate. Applauding owners Danny Meyer and Randy Garutti were Newton Mayor Setti Warren, Richie Balsbaugh, Herb Chambers, M.S. Walker’s Doug Shaw, Nick Penna of SalonCapri, W.S. Development’s Jeremy Sklar, City Councilor Mike Ross, Shayna Seymour from “Chronicle,’’ and restaurateurs Andrew Holden of Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster Bar and The Hawthorne owner Garrett Harker, Central Bottle’s Nick Zappia, Sweet Basil’s Dave Becker, Davio’s owner Steve DiFillippo, Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks, and Tim and Nancy Cushman from o ya. . . . Ina Garten, host of the Food Network’s “Barefoot Contessa,’’ was spotted in the New American Cafe at the MFA Thursday.
