Boston University building evacuated after chemical spill
A 12-story building at Boston University was evacuated today after a chemical spill this morning, but no injuries were reported, fire officials said.
The Life Science and Engineering building is located at 24 Cummington Mall. About a liter of decahydronaphthalene spilled, the fire department said in an official tweet.
The spill was confined to one lab. Firefighters were waiting for the Clean Harbors environmental cleanup company to neutralize and mop up the spill.
No further details were immediately available.
