Federal officials keeping quiet on status of James ‘Whitey’ Bulger hospitalization
Federal officials on Monday would not provide the location of James “Whitey’’ Bulger, who was rushed to a Boston hospital a day earlier after complaining of chest pains.
A spokeswoman for the US attorney’s office said she could not discuss a defendant’s health condition.
Bulger, 83, was brought to the Boston Medical Center at 1:48 a.m. Sunday, according to fire officials in Plymouth, where he is being held.
Bulger has for decades suffered from a common ailment that requires him to take medications to treat high blood pressure and improve blood flow to the heart.
