Police identify 20-year-old man fatally shot in head inside Dorchester hair salon last week
A man shot to death inside a Dorchester hair salon on Thursday night was identified by Boston Police today as Stephan Pires, 20, of Boston.
Pires was getting a haircut when he was shot in the head at the Universal Barber Shop & Beauty Salon at 436 Geneva Ave. shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday when a lone gunman who opened fire inside the salon, police have said.
A woman in her 70s was hospitalized after she was also shot, according to police. She was expected to survive. Authorities have said they believe Pires was targeted but that the woman was not.
