Man found stabbed in the chest near Allston bar this morning
Boston Police responding to an early morning fight in front of the Tavern in the Square in Allston were alerted to a 23-year-old man across the street who had been stabbed in the chest, police said.
The victim was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries, said Office Nicole Grant, a police spokeswoman.
Police who were called to the scene at about 2:20 a.m. on Brighton Avenue and tried to question witnesses faced a crowd that was “belligerent and disrespectful,’’ she said.
No arrests have been made, and no weapon was found. An investigation is ongoing.
