Musicians gather at Passim to benefit voice doctor Steven Zeitels
Mass General’s superstar voice doctor Steven Zeitels, who’s known for keeping Steven Tyler and Adele in business, will get support from his local musician friends at Club Passim in September. Lori McKenna, Jennifer Kimball, and Sarah Borges are just a few of the singers who have signed on to perform at “A Celebration of Voice,’’ a Sept. 30 benefit for the Voice Health Institute, an organization created by current and former patients to support Zeitels’s research. We doubt that Adele will show up to surprise the good doctor at Passim that night (the pregnant singer is said to be due mid-September), but local guy Tyler could always make an appearance. Or maybe former Berklee College of Music student (and voice patient) John Mayer?
