Gloria Estefan at Starbucks; Chris Evans at Woodward

Joan Rivers (right) and her daughter, Melissa, were at the Sox game last night. . . . Gloria Estefan was at a Boston Starbucks yesterday. We know this because Ashley Parker, who covers Mitt Romney’s campaign for The New York Times, saw the celebrity singer, tweeted at her, and then was approached by Estefan who confirmed that yes, it was really her sitting nearby. Parker reported, “@GloriaEstefan saw my Tweet, I introduced myself, and she was v gracious and lovely even tho I had been a bit creepy. #LoveHer.’’ . . . Brad Whitford

used his off night wisely. The Aerosmith guitarist, whose band played the second of two shows at the TD Garden Thursday, stopped by the Red Room @ Cafe 939 Wednesday and sat in with Kasey Anderson & the Honkies, lending a few tasty licks to their version of Bob Dylan’s “Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat.’’ . . . Dylan, by the way, just announced a North American tour with Mark Knopfler, and it includes a show at TD Garden Nov. 18.
