Don’t expect to see Wahlberg in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

Just because Mark Wahlberg played Dirk Diggler in director Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Boogie Nights,’’ that doesn’t mean he’s going to star in the film version of the E. L. James’s erotic novel, “Fifty Shades of Grey.’’ “I don’t think I would consider playing the part, I don’t think my wife would like that,’’ he told “Access Hollywood’’ this week. Wahlberg said he tried unsuccessfully to get the film rights before the book became a bestseller. “(I) just knew that it was going to be a phenomenon, whether I thought it was good, bad, or indifferent. It was definitely going to be one of those things that would create a huge buzz.’’ He was right.
