10 displaced, $200,000 in damage as fire breaks out on roof of South Boston building; no injuries reported
A two-alarm fire fire on K Street in South Boston this afternoon caused $200,000 in damage and displaced 10 people, but no one was injured, the Boston Fire Department said.
The fire at 191 K St. was reported at 1:25 p.m. Fire was showing on the roof when firefighters arrived, the department said.
The displaced people planned to stay with family and friends. The fire was under investigation, the department said.
