State Police also said they arrested a man who had a blood alcohol level 2 1/2 times the legal limit and was driving in the wrong direction on a Nashua highway.
Multiple callers had reported a man driving north in the southbound lane of Frederick E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, State Police said in a statement.
Trooper Juan Infante tried to pull the man over as he drove past exits 7 and 8, police said. The man, Mark A. Ledoux, 47, of Hudson, N.H., stopped his car and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, subsequent offence, police said.
Ledoux will be arraigned in July in Nashua District Court.
