Tom Brady in “Funny or Die’’ again

Tom Brady will never be confused with Woody Allen, but the Pats QB does have a funny bone. That was evident when he hosted “Saturday Night Live’’ in 2008 – who can ever forget the “Tom Brady’s Falafel City’’ skit – and in the “Funny or Die’’ clip in 2010 featuring Justin Bieber. The signal-caller’s latest bit of silliness comes in another “Funny or Die’’ clip in which Brady is teased about his Boston accent during a visit to a Dick’s Sporting Goods store in California. The joke, of course, is that Brady, who grew up in San Mateo, Calif., doesn’t have a Boston accent. In the clip, an obnoxious Dick’s employee mocks Brady for his (non)existent accent, saying things like, “That’s some wicked good chowdah’’ and “Mahky Mahk and Funky Bunch, now that’s a good band.’’ A frustrated Brady finally blows his top. “I’m not from Boston! I’m from California!’’ he yells. “I’m a native Californian! I went to Michigan, and now I play for New England! I’m a [expletive] quarterback, you moron.’’ With that, Brady knocks down the Dick’s employee and leaves, prompting a female customer to say, “Matt Damon, shame on you.’’
