Mark Wahlberg to bring Boston Teamsters reality show to A&E
Dorchester’s own Mark Wahlberg is producing a new reality show, “Teamsters,’’ for A&E, according to Deadline.com. The show will focus on the lives and struggles of members of Boston’s Teamsters Local 25. One of the co-producers on the project will be Stephen Levinson, who worked with Wahlberg on “Entourage.’’ We’re still waiting to get details from Sean O’Brien, who runs the Local 25, which boasts 11,000 members. We have to assume that he knows Wahlberg, seeing as the Teamsters would have worked with him with local films such as “The Fighter.’’ The reality show sounds like a labor of love for Wahlberg: his late father, Donald Wahlberg, was a Teamster. … Speaking on Boston on reality TV, 36-year-old Fenway Park chef Steve Postal — who apparently also goes by “Nookie’’ — will appear on “Around the World in 80 Plates,’’ a new show produced by Bravo. The series will be hosted by Curtis Stone and Cat Cora and will have chefs racing (and cooking) around the world. Judges include famous chefs Wolfgang Puck and Nigella Lawson. The show will premiere May 9.
