Governor Deval Patrick marries a couple at the Four Seasons
Deval Patrick has been friends with Ron Walker for years, so when Walker, president of the merchant bank Next Street, asked the governor if he would officiate at his wedding, Patrick happily said yes. The ceremony, held today at the Four Seasons Hotel, was an intimate affair for about 30 guests. It also was not a first for the governor, who in September officiated the wedding of his daughter Sarah Baker Patrick and her husband Marco Morgese. Walker, a former senior executive Sovereign Bank, exchanged “I dos’’ with Shawnda Rose, a community outreach manager at the Mattapan Community Health Center.
