JetBlue Airways, Japan Airlines partnering for new nonstop flights from Boston to Tokyo
JetBlue Airways will partner with Japan Airlines when it begins nonstop service to Tokyo out of Boston April 22, allowing passengers to book tickets for combined travel on the two airlines.
Under the agreement, travelers can book connections between JetBlue’s North American network and Japan Airlines’ Asian Pacific routes. The airlines’ arrangement also applies to travel through New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. Japan Airlines’ upcoming Boston route, operated in partnership with American Airlines, will make the city the first commercial US market to use the much-anticipated Boeing 787 Dreamliner, a light, fuel-efficient plane made largely from composite materials.
