Man dies after being hit by commuter rail train early this morning in Haverhill
A man was struck and killed by a commuter rail train in Haverhill early this morning, according to the MBTA.
Jeffrey Fraza, who was about 25 to 30 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, T spokeswoman Lydia Rivera said in an email this morning.
No other details were available.
Fraza was on the train right of way when he was hit at about 1:24 a.m. near Winter and Stevens streets, Rivera said.
No passengers were on board the Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail train, which was Boston-bound after making its last service trip of the day, according to Rivera.
The accident will not affect service today and remains under investigation.
