Philly’s Chiddy Bang roots for the Pats
Chiddy Bang is an alt-rap act from Philadelphia, but its members are rooting for our Patriots. The duo, who had the hit “Opposite of Adults,’’ recorded a freestyle rap for the Pats with lyrics that include “I’m throwing passes that’s precise like Tom Brady/ It’s only right I got a supermodel for my lady.’’ Chiddy Bang’s Chidera Anamege
called into JAM’N 94.5 today to explain the rhymes, which are performed over the track for Chiddy’s new single, “Ray Charles.’’ “I have a different connection with New England,’’ he said, adding that he went to boarding school up here for three years. “Even one of my homies was actually [Bill] Belichick’s son.’’ (Stephen Belichick attended the Rivers School in Weston.) Chiddy Bang’s new album, “Breakfast,’’ comes out at the end of the month.
