Dorchester man, 28, charged with stabbing acquaintance inside Roxbury home; victim expected to survive, Boston police say
A Dorchester man was arrested for allegedly stabbing a Boston man multiple times at a home in Roxbury last night, Boston police said.
Melvin Wright, 28, of Dorchester, has been charged with assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned today in Roxbury District Court.
At about midnight on Wednesday, Boston police responded to a call regarding a stabbing inside a three-family home at 107 Devon St. According to police, the victim, who is in his 30s, appeared to have been stabbed several times.
He was taken to Boston Medical Center and is expected to survive, police said.
Upon investigation, police discovered that the men knew each other and the stabbing occurred after a disagreement between them. Officers later found the suspect at his residence in Dorchester.
