Rhode Island’s ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ gets release date

“Moonrise Kingdom,’’ the Wes Anderson movie that quietly filmed in Rhode Island this past spring and summer, has been given a release date. According to Variety, the movie, which stars Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, and Edward Norton, will come out May 25. “Moonrise Kingdom’’ is about characters in a New England town that searches for a runaway couple. It was made in some pretty scenic, secluded areas around the Ocean State, including Fort Wetherill State Park, Lincoln Woods State Park, and Prudence Island.
